Hello Brooklyn.

Last year as I strolled the streets of Montreal in the beautiful Pleateau neighbourhood I came across an interesting concept store.  A store that sold both sneakers as well as art/fashion/lifestyle magazines.

It was there that I first saw a copy of Hello Mr. magazine.  A magazine " About Men Who Date Men" and a magazine that was long overdue.  I picked it up and flipped through quickly, as I was with friends and didn't want to hold anyone up, it's the polite Canadian in me.  For the next week I thought about that magazine....a lot.  Finally, I braved the half hour trek back up to the Plateau and purchased the magazine.

Now a year later and two more issues out, the magazine is gaining much momentum and was recently put on the shelves at Barnes and Nobles across the U.S.  The magazine is geared towards gay men but I highly recommend it to anyone.  Being submission based the contributors change with each issue making for an interesting read each time.

I was drawn to the magazine by it's beautifully curated photos and visual content and knew I had to reach out to this magazine and some how be a part of it.

I was recently in NY and got in touch with the founder, Ryan Fitzgibbon, who invited me to the office to help out for the day.  I spent the afternoon styling his desk for an upcoming photo shoot for a blog and helping him with other styling needs around the office.

Ryan is an incredibly warm person with a huge heart and welcomed me into the office with open arms.  I very much enjoyed my time at the Hello Mr. office and hope to continue a creative relationship with the magazine.
